Khosi Mbatha is a seasoned senior professional with over 16 years of expertise and experience in corporate leadership roles. Her background includes serving as former Group Head of Business Acquisition for Allforwomen and Group Head of Business Development for Hive Digital, where she honed astute skills in driving brand growth and business strategy. She has a strong track record of collaborating with top corporate organizations to refine and innovate customized rewards and employee incentive programs. These programs, tailored for specific corporate markets, have been instrumental in enhancing employee retention and business expansion. Khosi is an active member of influential organizations, including Lioness of Africa, Global Women in Business, and Top Women in Business, where she leverages her extensive network to remain at the forefront of industry trends. She has also served as a committee member of the Businesswomen Association. Currently, as Project Manager at MetPac-SA, Khosi plays a pivotal role in driving sustainability initiatives within South Africa’s metal packaging industry. She spearheads projects to enhance metal packaging waste collection and recycling activities. This includes driving key partnerships with local municipalities and Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) to implement waste minimization projects, with a focus on community capacity building for circular economy initiatives. Her core focus is to ensure that Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) remains a key policy approach and strategy for waste minimization and the achievement of sustainable development objectives. Khosi’s passion and expertise in managing waste picker training and workshops across South Africa have directly fast-tracked business growth for waste pickers. She is dedicated to ensuring they receive recognition, have dignified Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and access the necessary infrastructure support. As part of her role, Khosi also collaborates with schools to implement “separation at source” educational programs, promoting environmental awareness through sustainable waste management practices.
